Centre for Research,  Anna University offers research programmes in different branches of Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Planning, Science & Humanities and Management Sciences leading to award of Ph.D. degree.

 

 

 CFR Anna University

All the research activity of Anna University affiliated Engineering Colleges are  ruled by CFR Anna University . As per report  5000 teaching staff/experts are approved as recognized  supervisors for assisting research scholars. 

Admission to the Ph.D. programme at this centre for research is available twice a year. A total of 11,000 research researchers are enrolled in the Ph.D. programme. Admissions are valibale for foreign scholars also. Foreign scholars are accepted through the ICCR, whereas QIP scholars are accepted through the AICTE

Two categories of Ph.D. programme available are: Full-time and Part-time. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria as in Clauses 1 & 2 are eligible to apply for Ph.D. Programme.

The CFR follows a process supporting  e-Governance such as Online phd application  , Online fees payment for  research scholars, Online submission of Synopsis and Thesis and many more.

The number of Ph.D. awardees of Anna University from the inception (1978 - March,2021) is 13476 and in the convocation held in March,2021 alone is 2051.\
